During my internship at Parker Madison I had the chance to redesign their identity. The Chuck Taylor shoes were carried over form the previous logo, and a cleaner wordmark was created. Futura‘s M has slanted legs, which didn’t quite fit the sturdy look we were going for; so I constructed a new M character with straight legs and a crotch that sits nicely in the middle of the letterform, instead of resting on the baseline.
